We are working on a couple of different jobs right now. Yesterday we went to Dolce to do a pull. You can only imagine what happened when I laid my eyes on these amazing shoes! Love at first sight! My size is sold out and they are not really in my budget right now but a girl can still dream can't she? Maybe my size will appear in time for Christmas when they are on sale??

Spooky Space Mountain
scary mtn.!
we tried to take a photo in front of the mtn. but it wouldn't work
our photo we are in the last row lookin' good!
fireworks!
Tonight Jon and I decided to put our DisneyLand passes to good use and ride Space Mountain. We went a few weeks ago and the wait was 140 minutes.. um no that does not work for me. Tonight's wait was 80 minutes still a little long but at least I am waiting with someone I enjoy spending time with. The outside was dressed up for Halloween changing colors and making scary noises. After 83 minutes of waiting in line (Jon timed it on his iPhone) We took our seats. It was so scary and so fun! Both of us screamed and held each others hands tight! We got out just in time to walk past the fire works display on our way to the car. Neither of us can wait to see what they do next year!
An evening with Steve.

A Rose for Lilly
Jon with Lilly's Rose. Cheers!
Me with Lilly's Rose and a plastic cup of wine.
During the intermission we each got a plastic glass of wine and walked around the Blue Ribbon Garden. It was designed as a tribute to Lilly Disney. It features a hand-sculpted fountain in the shape of a rose as the garden's centerpiece. The fountain, named “A Rose for Lilly,” was designed by Frank Gehry (who desgined the concert hall) and is covered in a mosaic of approximately 8,000 broken pieces of the blue and white Delft china that Mrs. Disney loved and collected.
Afterwards we went back in and the music started back up. All I can say is that Steve Martin is a hell of a Banjo player! He blew me away with his Banjo skills and the Steep Canyon Rangers were fantastic! Steve told some jokes in between songs that were hilarious! They played about a two hour set maybe longer! I loved it! I think I will be taking up Banjo lessons pretty soon after watching both Steve and Abigail rock the banjo so hard!
All in all another great night with the best date ever.

Miu Miu Spring10
M. Cho!
Margaret Cho did a show at the Improv. We went with our friends Kristin and Matt. We have all been dying to see her. Before the show Jon kept saying "I hope yr ready she can be pretty crude!" She was beyond funny and the show was not too crude for a girl like me. I love the imitations she does of her mom. Such a hilarious fun night!
the Local Bar
Saturday night we went around the corner to Alex's Bar to see a friends band play. Alex's Bar stars as Fangtasia the vampire bar in True Blood. As always we had a great time.

Etoile
This past summer Jon and I visited Sweden and Paris (my first time in France!). When we were leaving for Paris my dad had one request for us to recreate a photo that my dad had taken in the 60s at the Arc de Triomphe de l'Etoile. No problem! We can't wait! For some reason we saved this for the very last day. We took a cab there and when we were dropped off we couldn't find the exact sign. Exhausted from all of the walking we had been doing (Jon's poor feet were so messed up after the trip he could barely walk when we got home!) we started to walk around it hitting every single red light and having to wait to cross for what always seemed like forever! Finally we made a full circle around it finally realizing that all of the signs had been changed! We tried our best to recreate the photo.... I even scoured my suitcase looking for some sort of top that was similar to the one my dad is wearing in the photo. So here are the photos...
The original photo taken sometime in the 60sthe "recreation" taken in August 2009.

Oktoberfest
Last night Jon, (Big) John, my parents and I went to Oktoberfest at the Alpine Village. We had a huge dinner of Bratwurst with Sauerkraut and drank lots of beer. The festivities included an Omm Pa Pa brass band performing lots of songs about beer, sing-a-longs about beer, lots of dancing, lots of contests (we only stayed for the yodeling contest which my mom booed every single contestant!) and a parade of Beer Steins. After the Bratwurst we all had major sweet tooth's and made plans to stop for chocolate cake on the way home. I think that the thought of chocolate cake made Jon rush us all out of there a little sooner than we would have liked!
My dad was making a weird face in the first photo so I made my parents take another photo.

El Dorado Nature Center
Just a few of the many turtles that live in the lake.
Jon and I have been trying to get a little healthier so we have been going on walks around our neighborhood a couple of mornings a week. When we have more time we go down to the beach and walk and try to run the stairs. Yesterday we decided to change things up a little and go for a walk/hike at the nature center at El Dorado park. You feel like you are a million miles away from the city. It is unreal!

Bonjour Le Sweater!
Yet another thing that I am way into is bizarre brand names that I find in vintage clothes. I have actually bought dresses that I would normally pass up because of the amazing name on the label. I don't mean this in a "designer" type way, but in a "Wow that label is Hilarious!"
Now this sweater is a sweater I have been on the hunt for quite a while now. A big cozy hairy but not too hairy-ish sweater preferably a cardigan. There it was on the "Diva"rack at one of the many Revivals in the desert- we visited three different locations (before Jon and I left for Palm Springs I did some crazy investigating so we could have a day of thrift store shopping. A few stores were closed (which proved that in the future I must take my "crazy" investigation a little further) but what was open was beyond fantastic! I digress...) So there it was the perfect hairy but not too hairy comfy cozy sweater! I take it off the rack it turns out to be a cardigan score 1! I try it on and it is Big but not huge Big score 2! Then I glance at the label and it says LeSweater how ritzy it must be French (hehe) score 3! Amazing! The only bummer is it is hand wash lay flat to dry. It took three days for it to dry!!! Sacre' Bleu LeSweater!
(phil and maude are way into LeSweater)
