Palm Springs Aerial Tram (coachella day 2)

After the night before both Jon and I had decided to forgo day 2 of Coachella. Instead we both wanted to relax and enjoy Palm Springs. Both Jon and I have been to Palm Springs numerous times on the way in or out we always pass the Palm Spring Aerial Tram and every time say we would like to visit some time. The only times I had ever "seen" the actual tram was when Dylan went location scouting for a screen play he was working on was threatened being held by his feet hanging out of one of the tram cars for calling the FBI in the season 5 finale of Beverly Hills 90210 as well as an episode of 'I shouldn't be alive' where a couple went off the hiking trail and were stuck up at the top of the mountain for over a week narrowly escaping death that Jon and I had watched together.
We drove up the hill and parked the car, purchased tickets and made it on to a tram right away. The tram cars rotated which is so cool because no matter where you stand you get a great view. It took a while for a few people to understand that the floor was rotating and you just had to stand still. Instead people were trying to walk with it which got rather annoying especially on the way down. I mean hello you should already know whats going on as you obviously rode to the top of the hill on it? Anyway.... Once at the top the temperature completely changes... It was in the high 80s down in palm springs once at the top of the mountain the temperature dropped dramatically. I mean there was snow on the ground- people were sledding and we saw a couple of cross country skiers!!! Jon and I people watched and tried to follow a hiking trail (we didn't want to go off course! We kept asking each other how and why those people we saw on the show got lost!?). On the way up the recorded announcer had said you could see the Salton Sea from where we were. Jon was trying to spot it we weren't sure where it was so we decided to head back down the mountain and drive there.....
